Carrot and Skin Color.
Carotene is one of the substances found in tanning pills, and it occurs naturally in carrots. Of most interest for its root, the carrot contains a substance called betacarotene that our body transforms into vitamin A. It's the skin's provitamin since it protects the skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays, while preparing the skin for tanning and accelerating the process.
For a better colour Drinking a small glass of carrot juice every day will put colour on your table and a healthy glow in your complexion.

Carrot face mask?
Grate a few carrots; choose deeply coloured ones since they contain more beta carotene.
Add a few drops of sweet almond extract or oil;
apply to the face; let work for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
Health Tonic
If you're lacking energy and your batteries are low, have a juice tonic; put into your juicer:
2 carrots
2 apples
2 celery stalks

1 Apple, cored & quartered
2 T Honey
Drop the apple pieces into a food processor and chop. Add honey and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Pat the mixture onto your face with a light tapping motion, tapping until the honey feels tacky. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse.

1 Tomato, ripe, chopped
1 tsp Lemon juice
1 T Instant style oatmeal or old-fashioned rolled oats
Blend everything until just combined. Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas: cheeks, forehead, or chin. If necessary, add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then scrub it off with a clean washcloth dipped in warm water.

Orange Mask
For this you need half a cup oatmeal, juice of half an orange, glycerine and a little egg white to make a paste.
Beat the egg white and then add the oatmeal and juice to it.The glycerine is to moisturise the skin. The egg white gets rid of wrinkles and the orange is just to feed the skin. With this mask, open pores and greasy complexions are miraculously rejuvenated.Normal skins can also be treated with these masks.
